Until I reviewed Sonia Thistlewaite’s concept map, I had not considered the influence context has on the implementation of ICTs into your pedagogy.
On further review of her blog, I discovered an article entitled Engaging Remote Indigenous Students with ICTs. It was through this article that I realised that I had quite a narrow-minded view to ICT integration.
Although I was already aware that all learners have different learning needs, I had not considered either the geographical, or racial needs and differences, of the learners. It is well worth read, and you too may find reflection on the article to be worthwhile to your own ICT pedagogy.
